Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. 1.Engineer of Record: a.Stamp and sign structural plan sheets. The sheets will need to match the calculation package. Several details are missing, and upon close examination, the details on sheet 4 do not match the calculation package in various ways, e.g. the Simpson Shear Walls called out for in the calculation package do not appear to be called out on the architectural plans. b.Provide a shear wall schedule, including anchor bolt requirements. 2.Indicate the window and skylight glazing requirements, including size, type, minimum “U” value (.30), and safety glazing locations. 3.Include interconnected smoke detectors throughout the existing residence at the bedrooms and immediate vicinity outside, per R314.3.1. 4.Per R408.2, regarding crawl space ventilation, one ventilated opening shall be within 3’ of each corner of the building, except one side of the building shall be permitted to have no ventilation openings. 5.Detail 1/4 calls out R-21 insulation instead of the current code minimum R-30. 6.Provide a detail to show the minimum attic ventilation at each rafter bay, with 1” air space above insulation. 7.If the location of the addition is near or over the existing (demolished/filled) swimming pool, the a geotechnical report is required stating that the soils bearing capacity is adequate for the addition loads.
