W Dear Mr. and Mrs. Jackson: I have reviewed your resubmittal received onJanuary 31, 2013 for the above building permit application for the Planning Division,and it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressedbefore review can continue: 1.Height:Your response to the October 26, 2012 Planning Division’s comments stated that the height calculations provided on your resubmittal were based on the elevation of the foundation. However, height calculations must be based on the average original grade of the site. Please refer to the enclosed height calculation handout (#B41) for guidance on how to conduct height calculations and correct your height calculations as necessary in order to comply with the city’s requirements. In revising your height calculations, please address the following: a.Indicate the datum point (including what it is and its elevation) on the site plan. b.Provide elevations of the four cornersof the height rectangle that representthe original grades of these four points.Note thatthe elevations of the four corners of the height rectangle must be in relation to the elevation of the selected datum point. c.The maximum allowed height for detached accessory structures is 15 feet above average original grade. Indicate the average grade, maximum allowed height, and proposed height on the site plan as well asonthe building elevations. Please submit three copies of your revised site plan and two copies of all revised building plan sheetsto a Development Services Permit Coordinator,Monday through Friday,between8:00 am and4:30pm.
