The subject site has been reassessed for the presence of critical areas on or adjacent to the site under the parametersof the current critical areas code, and it appears that the eastern side of the site contains and/or is adjacent to a slope that is steep enough to be considered a Landslide Hazard Area pursuant to the requirements of ECDC 23.40 and 23.80.Due to the proposed garage’s location within the minimum required buffer from the Landslide Hazard Area, a report by a qualified geotechnical engineer must be submitted addressing all applicable requirements of ECDC 23.40 and 23.80. In particular, the geotechnical engineer must address the proposed garage’s compliance with the specific requirements related to alterations and design standards applicable to development within a Landslide Hazard Area and/or its buffer, which are contained within ECDC 20.80.070.A.2 and A.3. Please submit three copies of the above requested reportto a Development Services Permit Coordinator.
