During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Beam calculations for the main 4x12 PT beam. It appears to be undersized for the gravity load.
2.Some type of lateral bracing. Typical example would be diagonal 2x4 PT fastened to the
underside of the joists at 45 degree angles, (2) total,one each direction.

4.Identify the deck surface material. If a composte material (like Trex) is used, it is possible that
ovide two copies of the installation instructions.
