In addition, this is a follow-up to our verbal approval to allow a �n ' i 0 small triangular portion (southwest corner). of the driveway to exceed the maximum slope allowed by the code because of the grade of the alley and other physical restraints. _ mm After inspecting the site, we determined that only the west half of the driveway at the subject : ,' p r address does exceed 14%; however, there is a rectangular portion, located at the southwest C 0) that not only exceeds the required 14%, but also exceeds the maximum t m N corner of the driveway, y q n Ld allowed of 20%. Based on the slope of the alley, which is approximately 16%, it is evident that r' it will be impossible to bring that rectangular portion of the driveway'into compliance without significant reconstruction of the alley and foundation of the newly built residence, --� Because there is just a small part of the driveway that will exceed the limits established in Z i= - Chapter 1.8.80.0604D of the Edmonds Community Development Code, we do not feel public { N health, safety and general welfare will be affected if that portion were to remain.
