BUSINESS COPY i SEP 3 0 20051 To: Michael Smith From: Michael C. Fischer LEDMONDS FIRE DEPT. Date: 09/27/05 Regarding: Inspection at 311 Edmonds St. Mike, It is my opinion that the exterior staircase on the East side of the building is a safety hazard. The structure is not secured to the wall or the ground. It also has pulled far enough away from the upper deck that someone could actually get a foot through the opening. The railing 4 X 4 post in the center of the staircase is rotten or broken and could possibly fail if someone leaned to hard on it. Just thought you might be able to require it to be fixed. Michael C.
