Project: Knowles 2"d Story Garage Addition
Project Address: 17627 Talbot Rd.
During re -review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) A separate enlarged site plan was submitted for the specific garage area. Please add all
information to complete site plan showing all property lines and provide 3 copies one no
larger than 8 2 x 14"for microfilming purposes. Notes and general information(owner info,
height calculations, etc.) can be added to a second sheet if it is not possible to fit everything
on one sheet. Also, for the slab as a datum point please specify a specific point on the slab
(i.e. driven nail, spray paint spot, etc.) so the inspector knows exactly where to measure height
from. Specify datum point on the site plan used to calculate height. Due to topography a point
chosen in the street will be difficult for the inspector to perform height inspection. Because the
slab of the garage will not change it is possible to reference this elevation in relation to the 4
corner elevations for the inspector to use as a datum point.

buildings, etc.).

7) Provide calculation for new ridge beam (51/8 x.15 GLB). R802.3.1 requires a ridge beam
design if ceiling joists or rafters are not provided at the top plate. Revise roof design to meet
conventional construction or provide calculations stamped and signed by a Washington State
Licensed Professional Engineer.
8) Provide calculation for new proposed 5 xl/8 x 18 floor beam. On the building section specify
post to beam connector.
