Pursuant to Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) chapter 18.05.030.B.3 (underlined for emphasis): A PUD transmission pole may be extended or replaced with a new pole that is increased in height to allow one wireless carrier to mount antennas on an existing structure. The new pole height may be increased by no more than the sum of the height of the wireless antennas plus 15 feet of vertical separation from the power lines. The 15-foot vertical separation is intended to allow wireless carriers to comply with PUD requirements for separation between their transmission line and the carrier’s antennas. All other components of the wireless facility must comply with Chapter 20.50 ECDC, Wireless Communications Facilities. PUD transmission poles are those poles which are carrying 50 kV or greater power lines. \[Ord. 3580 § 2, 2006; Ord. 2491, 1985\]. You show the existing pole is 65 feet and the height of the antennas is 2.98 feet, but you show the height of the new structure as 84.5 feet. Please show how your project meets the height requirement. Please show the 15 foot separation (the drawings are not to scale). Separation Requirement: 2. Pursuant to ECDC 20.50.010.F: In single-family residential (RS) zones, micro facilities for a specific wireless provider shall be separated by a distance equal to or greater than 1,320 linear feet from other micro facilities of the same wireless provider. \[Ord. 3099 § 1, 1996\]. Please show on a vicinity map how your project meets this separation requirement. Page 1 of 2 Sheds: 3. During the Critical Areas inspection, I noticed that the “existing shed” as shown on the site plan is just a large portable canopy tent. It does not meet the minimum setback requirement for the zone (10 feet from the side property lines and as close as 5 feet from the rear property line because it is shown under 600 square feet in area). The maximum height of accessory structures, such as tool sheds, is 15 feet. Please revise the site plan to show that the existing accessory structures are moved to meet setbacks. Please also check with a Permit Coordinator to see if a permit is required. Thank you for your cooperation. Please redline plans or submit three sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to the Development Services Permit Coordinator (Theresa Umbaugh) Monday through Friday, 9am to noon or 1pm to 4pm. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (425) 771-0220, extension 1778. I look forward to working with you on this project. Sincerely, CITY OF EDMONDS Gina Coccia, Planner Page 2 of 2
