General Comments: 1) Codes in effect at the time of this meeting: a) 2003 International Residential Code (including Accessibility per R322) with State Amendments b) 2003 International Building Code (including Accessibility) with State Amendments c) 2003 International Mechanical Code (including International Fuel Gas Code) with State Amendments d) 2003 International Fire Code with State Amendments e) 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code with State Amendments fl 2004 Washington State Energy Code (WAC 5 1 -11) g) 2003 Washington State Ventilation Indoor Air Quality Code (WAC 51-13) h) Edmonds Community Development Code 2) Please be aware that the State will likely adopt the 2006 International Codes and Uniform Plumbing Code effective July 1, 2007, The City of Edmonds will schedule code adoptions to coincide with the State with the same effective dates. This would require that permit applications submitted on or after that date be designed using the newly adopted 2006 codes. 3) Type of Construction: BIB, building is fully sprinkled with an NFPA-13 system. 4) There is an existing 3 -hour Fire Wall which divides the existing building into 2 buildings. The integrity of this wall cannot be compromised. It is unclear on the plans where the construction and equipment will be placed in relation to the Fire Wall as well as any penetrations of the Fire Wall.. For your information, enclosed is a partial copy from recent construction plans for this building showing the location of the Fire Wall at the roof and general building section of the Fire Wall. Provide building sections and details to clearly show that the Fire Wall will not be compromised. IBC 705 5) All Plans and structural calculations must be stamped/signed by a State licensed Professional Engineer. 6) Special Inspections will likely be required per IBC 1704 and will be determined during plan review once the permit application is submitted.
