During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
Comments from 11/16/06 -
1.The fire sprinkler supply line (from the main to the building) is shown to be a combo line according to the
plans submitted. The approved civils indicate a dedicated fire line and separate domestic service. Please
revise the plans submitted to be consistent with the approved civils.
2.Please also refer to the Plan Corrections from Linda McMurphy, dated 11/15/06.
1/17/07 Comments -
1.Please review the approved civil plan for required valves, double detector check location, and FDC.
The site plan submitted with the fire connection permit must be consistent with the civils and show
each element of the fire connection system. Multi-family construction requires the location of the
DCDA to be at the property line. Only on a commercial project and only when there is less than 10
feet between the property line and the building is there consideration for the DCDA on a dedicated
fire line to be inside a riser room.
2.A detail of the 2” DCDA vault was faxed to Dwight McGrew of Michel construction on 11/21/06. The
vault detail shall be included as part of the fire connection permit submittal. I have attached the
detail for your inclusion in the plans.
3.A riser detail has been provided on Sheet 1 of 4. The double detector check shall not be located in the
riser room, but rather at the property line in a vault. All details must be consistent with this
requirement.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
