Project: Kujala Addition/Remodel
Project Address: 20033 82"d Ave W.
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with.a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Specify if the fireplace in the lower floor bedroom is wood or gas. If gas fireplace must be direct
vent unit.
2) It appears that there will be a site built shower. Provide show pan construction detail including
drain, slope, materials, etc.
3) Additional smoke detectors are required in the two upper floor existing bedrooms. Note on floor
plans.
4) Cross reference all details to their location on the plans. Cross out any details that do not apply
to this house.
5) R403.1.3 requires all vertical rebar to have a standard hook. Revise all foundation details to
reflect.
6) Provide calculations stamped and signed by engineer of record for deck ledger attachment
shown in the deck detail on. sheet 3 or revise to meet conventional construction (318" x 4 %2"
bolts at 3" o.c.).
7) Provide calculation for LVL ledger and attachment as shown on the plans for the master suite
floor joists.
8) Specify size of "existing footing" supporting Beam 1 (3 118" x 9 GLB) at the bedroom side.
9) Clarify floor joists at the recreation room bump out (i.e. 2x10 deck joists extended?). Also
provide section detail through this area showing 2% minimum slope and flashing to prevent
water accumulating in this area.
10) Specify on the elevation views the grade slope away from the building. If minimum G" within
10' is not possible or habitable or useable space is below grade, foundation drainage is required.
Provide footing drain detail on foundation sections complying with R405.1 and show required
drain locations on the foundation plan.
