Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a Permit Coordinator. 1) Proposed roof framing does not meet conventional construction. Provide stamped and signed calculations to support proposed detail provided. Calculations and detail should address the following. a) Verify that the new rafter alteration to the existing truss roof system will not alter the performance of the existing trusses, including the tie-in of the new short ridge board to the adjacent trusses, and sistering of the rafter to the broken truss. b) Verify gravity and lateral loads for the alteration (note, 25 lb. ground snow load in Edmonds). c) Provide construction detail, including fasteners, showing how the new 2x 12 ridge board will be attached to the existing 2x6 trusses at the nail plate areas. d) On the roof section, specify type, size and spacing of fasteners at ceiling joist tie-in to brace and 2x12 rafter, and brace to 2x6 rafter. Also specify framing anchor at each end of rafters. e) Note roof sheathing thickness and roof assembly 2) Please clarify extent of kitchen remodel. On the existing and proposed floor plan show all plumbing (sinks, dishwashers, etc) and gas appliances (stove) to verify what is being replaced or relocated. Also are any of the windows changing or any of the sheet rock being replaced. Please provide detailed written scope of work for proposed remodel work.
