Provide written responses to each comment and where changes can be found on the plans. Submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator. 1. List all deferred submittals on the coversheet of the plans, such as mechanical/HVAC, State electrical, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, etc. 2. On the coversheet, change the Type of Construction to VA (1 -hour fire rated). 3. Revise list of codes on the coversheet and Note #1 as follows: a. 2003 International Building Code (including Accessibility) with State Amendments b. 2003 International Mechanical Code (including International Fuel Gas Code) with State Amendments c. 2003 International Fire Code with State Amendments d. 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code with State Amendments e. 2004 Washington State Energy Code (WAC 5 1 -11) f. 2003 Washington State Ventilation Indoor Air Quality Code (WAC 51-13) g. Edmonds Community Development Code 4. Note the uses of space for the common area between offices and garage, and at front entrance area. 5. Show the existing 1 -hour occupancy separation between the parking garage and offices. 6. Provide occupant load for each tenant space. 7. Accessibility: a. Show existing accessible parking stall, painted access aisle and path to accessible entrance to common area. b. Rear office door area of suite 101 opening to common area must meet maneuvering clearances and doors in series requirements of ICC/ANSI Al 17.1 Sections 404,2.3 and 404.2.5. Revise plans. c. The entrance vestibule to suites 100 and 102 must also meet maneuvering clearances for doors in series. Revise plans. d. Accessible path of travel from the public sidewalk is required to the newly created suites, which is currently not provided. See enclosed copy of plan review comments dated 6124/03 to the architect reminding them that this would need to be provided if the office was divided into two or more tenant spaces. 8. Ventilation (supply and return) must be provided to each room/space. Show location of existing supply diffusers and return, air grills. A separate permit will be required for alterations made to the existing system. Distance be- tween two hinged or pivoted doors in series shall be 48 inches (1220 mm) minimum plus the width of any door swinging into the space. The space between the doors shall provide a turning space complying with Section 304. 404.2.6 Door Hardware. Handles, pulls, latches, locks, and other operable parts on ac- cessible doors shall have a shape that is easy to grasp with one hand and does not require (a) Chapter 4.
