Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a Permit Coordinator. 1) 2) 3) 4) 7/31107 IRC section R802.3.I states that where ceiling joists or rafter ties are not provided at the top plate, the ridge formed by these rafters shall also be supported by a girder (beam). Please change to ridge beam or provide calculations for what is shown on the plans because it does not meet conventional construction. Please add all framing information (beams, ridge, rafters, etc.) to the roof framing plan. As shown in section detail ridge must be designed as a beam (specify with calculations and clearly show how loads are carried to bearing) or revised to have ceiling joists at the beam line. 7/3I/07Option for (3) I/"x 3" screws at 16" o.c. is non -conventional. Remove option from plans or provide engineer stamped calculations to justify. Maximum ledger lag bolt size and spacing is 318" x 4'/2" at 3" o.c. Revise plans or provide calculations stamped and signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer. 7/31/07 According to the framing plan the shed wall is supporting the double joists on either side of the stairs as well as the 2x8 joists. This correction still applies. Shed wall supporting deck without a foundation is non -conventional. Provide continuous foundation under this wall or revise plans so deck is self supported. 7/31/07 detail provided was for attachment to the concrete landings. Please clarify how the upper stair stingers are supported at the intermediate wood framed landing (4x4 beams are funning the opposite direction). Clarify, how the stair stringers will be supported at the landing. 5) ok 6) ok
