Project: Roof Deck
Project Address: 201 8t" Ave S.
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Please add the following information to the site plan.
■ Show location of spiral stairs.
You may redline plans or resubmit three (3) new site plans scaled no smaller than 1 "=20' and
one on paper no larger than 8 %z" x 14".
2) Please clarify on the plans if the spiral stairs go through an existing floor or roof If any other
structure is being altered please provide framing plans for this area. If it stops at the middle deck
please provide plans showing how the spiral stair will be supported per manufacture's
recommendations.
3) On the framing plan show all posts and footings to clearly show how all loads are carried to
bearing. It may be necessary to provide a framing plan for each floor.
4) Please show deck slope and drainage.
5) Provide detail for attachment of the deck guardrail. Please note guard must be capable of
resisting 200 pounds per square foot (a single concentrated load applied in any direction at any
point along the top) and the in -fill components must be capable of resisting 50 pounds per
square foot.
6) Based on the section details support of the deck does not meet conventional construction.
Provide structural calculations stamped and signed by a Washington ,State Licensed Professional
Engineer.
