RE: 23214 — 92 Ave W, Permit BLD20060661, Driveway Slope Exceeding 14%
Dear Mr. Johnson,
This is in response to your erriail dated October 30, 2,007 requesting approval to exceed
the maximun-i allowed driveway slope of 14%. Review of prior inspections show a close
cooperation with city staff in regards to additional grading and overall driveway design in
the attempt to achieve a slope under 14% over the entire length of your driveway, which
clearly indicates a good:faith effort on your part. Actual field conditions in this case
differed from the theoretical to the extent that, although a 14% slope has largely been
achieved, portions of the driveway approach 17%. City staff also notes these portions are
also sloped to ensure proper drainage of the driveway, and changing it can negatively
impact site drainage.
Your request to exceed a driveway slope of 14%, but not more than 20% is therefore
approved.
