During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a Permit Coordinator. 1) Please add the following information to the site plan. ■ Label deck on the site plan as existing to be replaced. ■ Show 36" minimum hard surface landing at bottom of both stairs. ■ Site plan must be scaled no smaller than 1"=20'. ■ Label the street. ■ Add topography contours and elevations to the site plan. You may redline plans or resubmit three (3) new site plans scaled no smaller than 1"=20' and one on paper no larger than 8 t/2" x 14". 2) Specify how the 4x8 beam on each side of the house is supported at the house (i.e. post in wall down to foundation.). 3) Maximum ledger lag bolt size and spacing is 318" x 4 %2" bolts/screws at 4" o.c. staggered. Revise plans or provide calculations stamped and signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer for size and spacing show on the plans. 4) Specify hanger to be used for the double joists around the chimney. Also, specify if chimney is for wood burning or natural gas fireplace. If wood burning then a 2" clearance to combustibles is required around the chimney. 5) Provide dimensions for the North portion of the deck to check beam and joists spans. Also, clarify framing in this area because the joists are show going the same direction as the beam and specify framing support for top of stairs. 6) Based on the Planning Departments Correction Dated December 18'2007 please also have Geotechnical Engineer provide foundation recommendations for the deck support and incorporate those recommendations on the plans.
