Project: Claire Rhodes Trust Deck
Project Address: 8723 Talbot Rd.
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) It was the understanding of the permit coordinator at the counter that you will be cantilevering
the deck and no new footings will be placed. This does not reflect what is shown on the plans.
Either submit a critical areas checklist as requested by the permit coordinator for the deck design
shown on the plans and respond to the following comments or submit new plans that show
proposed cantilevered deck with joist size, spacing, back span etc. so I am able to check the
design and make sure it meets code.
2) Provide calculations for 6x12 beam with 16' span.
3) Show what the joists are sitting on and how they are connected.
4) Provide a section detail through the deck and house.
