During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. An email RFI
may be acceptable with a signed engineering stamp. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
1. Provide the connection requirements of the (2) 2x8 joists to each other. The calculations show
the beam as a 3x member, so I am guessing that they need to be somehow stitched together.
2. Ditto for the (2)2x10 sistered together at the existing 2x10 rim joist location.
3. If the Simpson BA hangers to be used are going to be for a 4x width as indicated and not for 2-
2x as available, please specify a filler to be used to prevent rotation.
4. Specify special inspection requirements per IBC chapter 17
