During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Theresa Umbaugh, Senior Permit
Coordinator. Thank you.
1.A mechanical permit will be required for the project. You may either provide all needed
information under this permit or indicate on the plans that it will be a deferred submittal. If it
will be part of this permit, please provide the items of information shown on the Commercial
Mechanical handout and the state Non-Residential Energy Code compliance forms attached.
IBC 1204.1, IBC 1203 and IMC 403
2.The gas water heater must receive combustion air from outdoors as per IMC 702.1. Show
how this will be achieved or show an alternate means of supplying hot water, such as a direct
vent or electric model.
3.Show an indirect drain on the plans for the hand sink and the prep sinks per the plumbing
code and the Snohomish Health District letter. This may be a floor sink or hub drain.
4.Please note that the walk-in cooler must be labeled and listed by an approved agency and
provided with a condensate drain complying with UPC 801.2
