During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Thank you.
1.EOR, please stamp and sign the structural sheet of the plans.
2.Provide a framing and foundation plan for the new landing on the west end of the existing main
deck.
3.Please provide a detail showing continuous bearing under the 4x4 columns that support the
midspan of the 4x12 stair stringers.
4.Provide a detail for the construction and support of the stair treads.
5.Please indicate on the plans that fasteners and hardware used for pressure treated wood shall be
hot dipped galvanized or equivalent. R319.3
6.Please indicate the type of deck coating to be used, and the slope of the waterproof deck
(minimum ¼ inch per foot.) R905.15
7.Provide a cross section detail showing the weatherization/trim at the edge of the upper deck, the
wall framing and siding, and the roof to wall transition.
8.Provide architectural details for where the posts penetrate the roof (or roofing). How will this be
weatherized?
9.Please show how the new (attic) enclosure will be ventilated. R806
10.Please provide a guard detail showing construction and attachments. Indicate the height of the
deck guard (minimum 36 except at stairs.) R312.1
