During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Linda Thornquist, Permit
Coordinator.
1.Indicate on the plans separate permits for Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Sprinkler Modifications.
2.Indicate on the plans a deferred submittal for the pre-engineered metal canopies.
3.New exterior lighting is shown on sheet A1.3; however the Exterior Lighting Summary
indicates the installed wattage will not be increased. Please complete the form to show all
new and proposed fixtures. WSEC 1132.3
4.On sheet A1.3, the note on the Reflected Ceiling Plan says to Replace existing fluorescent
lighting with new, typical. This does not seem to agree with the Interior Lighting Summary
which indicates that less than 60% of the fixtures will be new. Please justify.
5.Please indicate on the plans that each interior space is to have its own lighting controls as per
the WS Energy Code. WSEC 1513.1
6.Please indicate on the plans that all new and altered spaces will be equipped with automatic
shut-off controls or occupancy sensors for lighting. WSEC 1513
7.The note on sheet A1.3 for Suspended Ceiling refers to details on sheet A4.3, which is not
included in the plans. Please clarify, or otherwise provide the necessary details.
8.The swing of the door to the accessible dressing room may not encroach into the 5 foot circle
inside the room. ANSI A117.1 section 803.3
9.Show accessible signage at the dressing room. IBC 1110
10.Show a portion of the cashier stand to meet the accessible dimensions of ANSI A117.1
section 803.3.
11.Special inspections are required for the project. Please sign and return the attached Special
Inspection Agreement form.
12.On sheet S1.1 show the 2-6 dimension for the plinth footings as per the structural
calculations.
13.Please provide design details for the compactor slab and/or footings.
