During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit
Coordinator.
1.Previous item 5. Please provide outside air calculations for the air handler as required by
2009 IMC 403. Indicate whether the calculations are based on IMC Equation 4-1 and Table
403.3 or ASHRAE Standard 62.1. It appears that the proposed 1715 cfm is grossly
insufficient to meet the code minimums.
Your response indicated that your calculations are based on IMC Table 403.3, but actual
calculations were not provided as requested. Again, it appears that the proposed 1715 cfm is
grossly insufficient to meet the code minimums, as my very rough calculations using
Equation 4-1 indicate that the required cfm well exceeds 10,000 for the building. Please
submit outdoor air calculations to show compliance with IMC 403.
