Project: Holy Rosary
Project Address: 760 Aloha St.
During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrisson, Senior Permit
Coordinator.
1.Please have the engineer of record sign the M pages.
2.Provide seismic attachment calculations and details for RTU-1 since it exceeds 400 pounds.
The details must show attachments from the curb to roof as well as the unit to curb, and be
stamped and signed by Washington State licensed professional engineer.
3.Since the gas piping requirements for the project have changed, please submit a revised plan
for gas piping (which was originally approved under permit 2010-0013) or indicate it to be a
separate submittal.
4.How is access to be provided to the rooftop equipment? Please show on the plans how this
will be provided in accordance with IMC 306.5 (as amended by Washington State). I
anticipate this will be accomplished by a permanently fixed ladder.
5.Please provide outside air calculations for the air handler as required by 2009 IMC 403.
Indicate whether the calculations are based on IMC Equation 4-1 and Table 403.3 or
ASHRAE Standard 62.1. It appears that the proposed 1715 cfm is grossly insufficient to
meet the code minimums.
6.Please provide a description of the automatic controls for the HVAC system to meet the
requirements of Washington State Energy Code 1412.4.
7.Indicate on the plans that commissioning will be performed in accordance WSEC 1416.
