Good morning,
This e-mail is intended as a follow-up to our telephone conversation on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
The questions about information provided on the plans for the above project were as follows:
1. On page S2 - Lower Deck Framing Plan - There was a difference between the post (6x6) indicated below the 4x10
beam and that shown on the referenced detail, D3/S2 (4x4). Per your direction, a 4x4 post will be used and noted on the
plans.
2. On page A3, S2, and S3 - The posts labeled as '1.11' and identified as a 'column, HF No. 2, dia. 10" ' were not specified
as being preservative -treated. Per your clarification, and as noted in the 'General Structural Notes - Wood - note #33 -
"...and all exterior wood shall be pressure treated." the posts will be pressure -treated and noted on the plans.
