During a review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following
information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the
changes can be found on the plans, cloud all changes on the revised plans, and submit the revised
plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Thank you.
On page A-11:
1.Second Floor Plan Provide the required safety glazing for the 3036 window at the top of
the stairs per R308.4.7.
2.Second Floor Plan Provide the required smoke alarm per R314.
3.Second Floor Plan Provide the required carbon monoxide alarm per R315.
4.Second Floor Plan Provide the required dwelling/garage opening protection per R302.5.1.
5.Second Floor Plan Clarify the difference in the location of the windows in the east wall of
the garage and that shown on the East Elevation and on the Second Floor Framing Plan
on page A-12.
6.First Floor Plan - Provide the required safety glazing for the 3026 window at the bottom of
the stairs per R308.4.8.
7.North Elevation Clarify the difference in the location of the windows in the office and that
shown in the Second Floor Framing Plan and in the Roof Framing Plan on page A-12.
On page A-12:
8.Second Floor Framing Plan Provide a beam callout for the framing members required to
support the floor framing over the openings in the south interior wall of the garage.
9.Second Floor Framing Plan Clarify the beam callout for the 4x10 along the south exterior
wall. A window or door opening is not shown on the elevations at this location.
10.Second Floor Framing Plan Provide the calculations for the required wall bracing along the
west braced wall line. None could be found in the provided structural calculations.
11.Roof Framing Plan Provide the calculations for the required wall bracing along the west
braced wall line. None could be found in the provided structural calculations.
