During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator.
1.Please identify on the plans the support beam under the hallway end of the ridge beam. The
structural calculations show it as a DF #1 6x8 or 4x12.
2.Specify on the plans metal post-to-beam connectors where applicable.
3.With the installation of transom windows and the opening in the wall for the future fireplace,
it appears the exterior wall does not meet the prescriptive requirements of IRC section
602.10 for wall bracing. Either provide an explanation of how the altered wall complies with
this code section, or provide structural calculations by the engineer to justify the lateral
design of the wall.
