During a review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following
information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the
changes can be found on the plans, cloud all changes on the revised plans, and submit the revised
plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Thank you.
On page A-6:
1.Clarify the callout for the size of the isolated footings below the following point loads:
The column supporting the ends of both Beam 10 over the garage.

The column supporting the ends of both Beam 2 over the garage.
·
The column supporting the north end of Beam 12 over the Dining Room entrance
·
to the Hall see also plan review note #2.
The footings appear to be undersized for the loads noted in the provided beam calculations at
those locations.
On page A-7:
2.Clarify the callout for Beam 12 5-1/2x9-1/2 2.0E PSL per product manufacturer there
are no PSLs 5-1/2 inches wide. Also, the span noted in the provided calculations appears to
be less than that shown on the building plans, resulting in a different distribution of loads at
each end see plan review note #1.
3.Clarify the callout for Beam 11 5-1/4x9-1/2 2.0E PSL. It appears to be over spanned
the provided structural calculations note a 5-1/4x11-7/8 2.0E PSL at that location.
4.Clarify the callout for Beam 1 5-1/4x9-1/2 2.0E PSL. It appears to be over spanned
the provided structural calculations note a 5-1/4x11-7/8 2.0E PSL at that location.
5.Indicate on the plans the required hanger for the connection of the north end of Beam 8
1-3/4x11-7/8 1.9E LVL to Beam 13 5-1/4x14 2.0E PSL to guide proper construction
and inspection.
On page A-8:
6.Clarify the length of wall bracing shown along the west wall of Bedroom 4 braced wall
line 2 on level 2. The provided structural calculations note a longer braced wall at that
location page 4.1 and schematic.
On page A-12:
7.Indicate on the plans the option(s) to be used to develop the one credit from Table 9-1
required per WSEC section 901.
