During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the
Development Services Department. Thank you.
1.On sheet 1 please change the code references from 2009 to 2012, as the City adopted the
new codes effective July 1, 2013.
2.On sheet S1.1 please change the code references from 2009 to 2012, and verify that the
structural design meets the standards of the current code.
3.A soils report has been required by the Planning Division. Please review the forthcoming
report and verify that the current design is compatible with the conclusions of the report.
4.Safety glazing is required on at least one, and maybe two existing windows near the bottom
landing of the new stairs. Please indicate this on the plans. IRC R308.4.7
5.In detail 9/S4.1 what is the connection required from the HSS beam to the column? Please
clarify this on the plans.
6.Special inspections have been identified for the project. Please gather signatures and return
the special inspection forms attached. This may be done any time prior to issuance of the
permit.
