Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services Department. Thank you. 1.Please provide gravity calculations for the glulam beam as well as the deck framing for the ramp and stairs. 2.The glulam beams must be pressure treated, or fully protected from weather exposure. IBC 2304.11.3 3.For all stair/ramp handrails show the handrail terminus (bottom extension) as continuing on the slope beyond the bottom riser for the depth of one stair tread. IBC 1012.6 4.The Stairs and Guardrails information block on page 1 contains some requirements that only pertain to residential construction. Please update the information to be applicable to commercial installations within the IBC. 5.The pathway along the ramp a.exceeds the maximum slope of 1:12. IBC 1010.3, 3404.1 b.exceeds the maximum overall rise of 30 inches. IBC 1010.5 c.requires top and bottom landings measuring a minimum of 48 inches in direction of travel. IBC 1009.8, 1010.7 6.The alterations require accessibility upgrades for the building per WAC 51.50 (IBC 3411.7). On the plans, either a) clearly show that the entire interior accessible route of travel complies with current code, or b) provide upgrades per the previously referenced section. If you choose to use exception #1 of that section, provide a letter stamped and signed by the architect (reference the code exception), stating the overall project cost, 20% of the project cost, and list the accessibility upgrades that will be done as part of this permit as well as showing that the total cost of the upgrades is at least 20%.
