During a review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted project, it was found that
the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. A complete review cannot be
performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the
clouded or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted
to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may
result in additional comments.
On sheets 3 and 4:
1.Provide on the plans ventilation calculations indicating the required outdoor airflow rate to
be supplied to each of the spaces per IMC 403.3. These should reflect the people and
area outdoor airflow rates for Beauty Salons as noted in IMC Table 403.3.
2.Indicate on the plans the capacity of each of the rooftop units providing the required
mechanical ventilation per IMC 403.
3.Indicate on the plans the capacity of each of the inline fans providing the required exhaust
airflow rate for Beauty Salons per IMC Table 403.3.
4.Indicate on the plans the means to be used to discharge any excess supply air per the
pressure equalization requirements of IMC 501.4. Return air into, or transfer openings from,
each of the spaces may be used to meet this requirement.
