We are in receipt of Che plan check comments frost the City of Edmonds for the Salish Crossing project and have addressed the
structural items as follows:
Item '16: Sheet 53.1
Comment: In detail 11, several dimensions do Prot match those shown in the structural calculations. Please reconcile the plans
and the calculations to justify the design shown on the plans. ''
SSF Response: Calculations showed a baseplate detail with 7/8" diameter bolts x '18" long and spaced 6" apart. This
Connection is designed to resolve shear forces from each of the Flame members. The maximum shear force for this
connection was calculated as 10.341dps. The plans were detailed with 3/4" diameter bolts x 12" long and spaced 5" apart.
See attached calculation for the verification of this design. The spacing of the bolts have further been changed to 3-
3/4inches apart.
