A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments. Healey-Jorgensen Calculations: stamped 1.Please provide (2) copies of the beam calculations provided by Healey-Jorgensen per RCW 18.08.370(2). 2.The calculation for the master bedroom window header was performed using the reaction from the ridge beam above, however, it appears the reaction from the incorrect end of the ridge beam was used. Please verify adequacy. Dibble Calculations: 3.It appears that the shear load at the front of the structure is intended to be transferred to the soil through the circular footings supporting the peeler posts. Please clarify the load path and verifty that the footings are sufficient to transfer the required loads into the soil. Sheet C: 4.Clarify how the 0.5 energy credit is being obtained through option 3a – High Efficiency HVAC. This could be done by providing the specifications of the equipment installed in 2011 under permit number BLD2011-0790. Sheet 1: 5.Please provide detail SK-1 on the plans from the engineering packet provided by Dibble Engineers. Sheet 2: 6.Add on to the note regarding the cantilevered beam supporting the ridge beam above, ‘…. ALSO VERIFY CONNECTION AT BACKSPAN TO RESIST LOAD FROM ABOVE UPLIFT.’ Sheet 3: 7.Verify that a smoke alarm exists in the hallway, in addition to the CO detector shown, per IRC R314. Sheet 4: 8.Please provide a detail showing the connections at the point of convergence of the valley rafters, the new ridge beam, and the support beam to guide proper installation and inspection.
