During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications
or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and
submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services Department.
Sheet A-0.1
1.In the occupant load calculations, please deduct the area of the stairs that impacts the floor area, and
adjust the occupant load as appropriate. This may also be done with the stair and landing at the
mezzanine level at the door to the upper plaza.
Sheet A-6.02
2.In detail 8, show the handrail as having a slope and top and bottom extensions as per IBC 1014.
3.In details 3 and 4, show that the handrail ends return as per 1014.6.
Sheet S5.1
4.Sheet 4 of the structural calculations shows a steel baseplate thickness of ¾ inches. It is not clear
where this feature applies within the plans. Please have EOR verify that the revised plans accurately
show the size and applications of the steel base plates.
