The following is my response to your comments dated April 3, 2015
General Review Note
I have indicated on my "Energy Code Summary"on sheet 1 that the energy code
option for this addition will be "option 1a" per MEC 8406.2, the values have
been changed to reflect this on building sections.
1) Floor Plan
a) These plans are intended to get a permit for the bathroom addition only, the
rest of the house is currently being remodeled under a separate permit, I
know from discussions that the south window is to be replaced with french
doors which would quality as an exit.
b)$ c) These are being provided by the builder under the other building permit.
2) Roof Framing 4 Elect
a) 4x6 posts are now indicated under the beam.
b) A 120 cfm exhaust fan is indicated on the plan and is intended to exhaust the
water closet area as well as the shower.,
3) Foundation Plan
The foundation plan how shows a dbl 2X10 HF#2 joist under this partition, this
also shows on the building section.
4) Petail l3-Roof/Eave
a) This detail has been changed to show 2x8 rafters @ 24"o.c and the ceiling
furred to allow for installing R55.0 insulation.
b) I think that what I show is correct for fireblocking, the exterior walls are &-0
high with dbl 2x6 plates and the center partition is 10'-0 with dbl plates, if
this not correct you need to tell me what is wrong as this seems to be within
normal construction methods.
