Project: Spuds Type I Hood
Project Address: 174 Sunset Avenue S
During a review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted project, it was found that
the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. A complete review cannot be
performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the
clouded or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted
to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may
result in additional comments.
General Review Notes:
1.Work related to the required fire suppression system to be installed for the Type I hood is to
be done under a separate permit.
2.Complete and return the attached City of Edmonds Commercial Kitchen Hood Worksheet
or provide on the plans the following information:
Details regarding the exhaust system to be installed.

Details regarding the make-up air system to be installed.

On sheet A.9.1 Details:
3.Detail G Noncombustible Furring @ Kitchen Hood Coordinate the construction of the
noncombustible wall surface with that proposed under the tenant improvement permit
BLD2015-0392. Changes appear to have been made during the separate review process that
does not consistently represent the work to be completed meeting the requirements of
International Mechanical Code (IMC) 507.9.
On sheet A.9.2 Details:
4.Detail J Section @ Kitchen and Dining Provide on the plans a detail, and a reference to
it, for the required construction of the one-hour fire-resistance rated construction of the
grease duct enclosure per IMC 506.3.11/International Building Code (IBC) 713.
