During a review of the plans by the Building Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following . information, clarifications, or changes are neededReviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics. A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response in itemized letter format indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. nd Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 Floor of City Hall. Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays. On sheet A3: 1.Foundation Plan – Indicate on the plans the minimum required ‘widened’ footings below each end of the beam over the 6080 sliding glass door in the west wall of the ‘Bonus Room’. The ‘typical’ footing appears to be undersized for the loads anticipated by the represented construction and indicated in the provided beam calculations. The size of the added ‘widened’ footings and the load noted at those locations on the resubmitted foundation plan does not appear to reflect that anticipated by the represented construction. While the load noted may be that expected below each end of the 6’ beams ‘BB-1’ – 5-1/8x9 GLB – there appears to be three of those beams placed end-to-end in the west wall of the ‘Bonus Room’. The cumulative loads below the converging ends of the beams at each side of the 6080 sliding glass door would be approximately twice that noted and require a larger footing than that added in response to the earlier review comment.
