A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. nd Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 Floor of City Hall. Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm. The Permit Center is closed on Wednesdays. On sheet 1: 1.General Notes a.Note # 3 – Update on the plans the provided information to that of the currently adopted code. It does not appear to reflect that required per International Residential Code (IRC) R806.2. b.Note #5 - Update on the plans the provided information to that of the currently adopted code. It does not appear to reflect that required per IRC M1507.3. c.Note #7 - Update on the plans the provided information to that of the currently adopted code. It does not appear to reflect that required/allowed per IRC Table R302.6. d.Note #10 - Change the referenced code section from ‘Chapter 31-B UBC’ to ‘IRC Chapter 10’. e.Note # 12 – Change the referenced code version from ‘1997’ to ‘2012’. f.Note #13 - Update on the plans the provided information to that of the currently adopted code. It does not appear to reflect that required/allowed per IRC 308.4. g.Note #14 - Update on the plans the provided information to that of the currently adopted code. It does not appear to reflect that required/allowed per Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) R403.2. j.Note #19 – Change the referenced code section from ‘SEC. 2306 UBC’ to ‘IRC R317’. 2.Structural Lumber a.Hem Fir #2 – Change the value for ‘Fv’ from ‘75’ to ‘150’ to reflect that of the current WWPA ‘Western Lumber Grading Rules’. b.Doug Fir #2 – Change the value for ‘Fb’ from ‘875’ to ‘900’ to reflect that of the current WWPA ‘Western Lumber Grading Rules’. c.Doug Fir #2 – Change the value for ‘Fv’ from ‘85’ to ‘180’ to reflect that of the current WWPA ‘Western Lumber Grading Rules’. d.Doug Fir #1 – Change the value for ‘Fb’ from ‘1350’ to ‘1050’ to reflect that of the current WWPA ‘Western Lumber Grading Rules’. e.Doug Fir #1 – Change the value for ‘Fv’ from ‘85’ to ‘170’ to reflect that of the current WWPA ‘Western Lumber Grading Rules’. 3.Nailing – Change the code version from ‘UBC 2007’ to ‘IRC 2012’. 4.Site Plan – Clarify the representation of the ‘Existing Decks’. It does not appear to correspond with that indicated by the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office and there does not appear to be any record of permits issued for the construction of the deck shown. The ‘Scope of Work’ under this permit can be changed to include the applicable requirements to the decks and allow for their continued use. On sheet 2: 5.Existing Main Floor Plan a.Clarify the representation of bedrooms ‘1’, ‘2’, and ‘3’. It does not appear to correspond with that indicated by the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office and there does not appear to be any record of permits issued for the change of use shown. The ‘Scope of Work’ under this permit can be changed to include the applicable requirements to the bedrooms and allow for their continued use. b.Indicate on the plans the required installation of smoke alarms in each sleeping room, and outside of the sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms per IRC R314. c.Indicate on the plans the required installation of carbon monoxide alarms outside of the sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms per IRC R315. d.Indicate on the plans the required safety glazing for the window adjacent the entry door per IRC R308.4.2. e.Indicate on the plans the required installation of emergency escape and rescue openings in the bedrooms meeting the provisions or IRC R310. f.Indicate on the plans the required installation of local exhaust systems for the bathroom and laundry providing the minimum exhaust rates per IRC M1507.4. g.Indicate on the plans the required minimum installation of ‘R-15’ wall insulation for wall cavities exposed during construction per WSEC R101.4.3.
