We have re -reviewed the overturning on this wall. Since the foundation is stepped up
36", the actual framed wall is only 6'-0" so the overturning moment arm is reduced to 6'
0" instead of the previous calculation using a 9'-0" framed wall.
596# shear value x 6-0% 3576# of overturning
Simpson STHD14 for 8" foundation wall allows for up to 3815# max overturning at
midwall and corner wall applications.
We have adjusted the hold-downs at these locations to be STHD14. See revised A3.
We have also altered our revision cloud so it doesn't look like a footing
