Bolin 1i0 DNIS10N This engineering report presents the FINAL results of geotechnical inspections throughout the project. These inspections were required as a condition of permit by the City of Edmonds. References: - Geotechnical Reports and Designs by D. Bruce, P.E. - City of Edmonds approved plans Inspections: This engineer has performed on site inspections since July, 2015 in conjunction with the previous "failing" wood landscaping and retaining walls. The pre-existing walls existed on adjoin properties ( Bolin and Murray ) and this engineer consulted with both parties during the design and inspection of the new replacement stabilization walls. lames _ecti ite Soil Bearing: Verified a minimum of 3,000 ps.f. bearing capacity on native soils. Approved. Drainage Zone: Verified a min. of 8 " thick gravel drainage zone behind walls. Approved. Geogrid Matrix: Verified proper placement of geogrid matrix where designed. Approved. Structrual Fill: No structural fill was required for block support purposes. However, all base blocks were properly supported on a min. of 6 " compacted crushed rock. Approved. Block Wall Construction: Verified base block embedment, block linkage, block batter, overall " blending -in" of the wall with the natural and pre-existing topography. Approved. Summary: - The replacement block walls have been properly completed, per City of Edmonds approved plans and geotechnical inspections. The stability of both properties has been improved. Dennis M.
