None of the work contemplated involves structural, mechanical, or electrical systems changes and/or modifications. To the best of our knowledge, all contemplated work on the property would be EXEMPT from requiring a building permit under the publication "City of Edmonds -WORK EXEMPT FROM BUILDING PERMIT", Item 4; Residential Permit Exemptions: sec's. (e), (f), ((g), (h), (i), (k), and (1). EXTERIOR: SIDING: Replace small areas of deterioration, scrub, scrape, caulk, and re -paint siding, shingles, and trim. ROOF: Clean and power wash, replace small areas or deteriorated sheathing, install new flashing and composition roofing material over single layer of existing composition roofing. ./WINDOWS: Replace four broken and/or badly deteriorated windows. GUTTERS: Re -align as required for proper slope, replace several small damaged sections. DECK: Replace rotted out deck (less than 200 SF and less than 30 inches above grade), off Master Bedroom. '/I - REAR STAIRS: Replace rotted out steps to back yard.. YARD: Grub out years of accumulated brush and vines, and install very modest landscaping/ground cover. FENCE: Repair/replace small sections of existing low chain link fence. DOORS: Replace badly deteriorated door to back yard. Replace old, unattractive sliding glass door from MBR to deck with new French.doors. Front door, re -finish or replace, yet to be decided. / PATIO AREA: Remove rotted roof cover, leave open or re-cover with a corrugated vinyl type material. INTERIOR: WALLS/CEILING: Repair, replace, small areas of water damaged sheet rock and prep and re -paint thru out interior. Replace old and dis-colored electric switches, outlets, and covers. Replace old and deteriorated lighting fixtures. ✓ ' KITCHEN: Replace deteriorated base cabinets, re -finish upper cabinets. Repair replace small area of water dam aged sub -floor and install new floor covering in Kitchen, Laundry room, and rear entry ha _ R ..c all. Replace small area of deteriorated drywall around kitchen sink. Replace disposer, dishwasher, range, and refrigerator. Replace hood/exhaust fan/ light unit over stove. Replace counter top and lighting fixtures. BATHROOMS: Replace small area of deteriorated sheet rock and sub floor around toilet area and shower area, and replace toilet, vanity/sink, mm p nity/.sink shower pan, and enclosure in % bath. Replace toilet, tub enclosure, and sink/vanity in full bath. Re -finish old tub in full bath. Replace old exhaust fans and light units in both baths. Replace medicine cabinets and light fixtures; faucets, etc. Replace floor coverings. LIVING/DINING ROOM, and HALLWAYS: Prepare and paint, install new carpet. Repair small area of water damaged dry wall in cqiyqg and wall of - bay_ window. ����� BEEDROOMS: Prepare and paint, install new carpet. Replace small area of water damaged drywall in ceiling and wall of MBR closet. (4) Replacement or repair of existing window or doors provided; no alteration of structural members is required, the replacement would not require installation of safety glazing, the installation does not affect egress requirements. ECDC Title 23 provisions shall not apply. (g) Minor like -for -like drywall repairs not involving fire -rated assemblies. (h) Replacement or repair of individual decking, joists, stair treads, or intermediate rails. ECDC Title 23 provisions do not apply. (1) Reroof overlays, except that all existing layers of roofing must first be removed if the existing material is wood shake, slate, clay, cement or asbestos tile, or where the existing roof has two or more applications of any type of roofing.
