Under Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 16.20.010.B.2, home occupations may be a permitted use in residential zones but do require a business license and home occupation permit. There are several criteria that must be met to obtain an administrative home occupation permit. If a home occupation proposal doesn’t meet one or more of the criteria the property owner may apply for a conditional use permit. There is no guarantee a conditional use permit will be granted if an application is submitted. The ECDC regulates commercial businesses in residential zones as follows: ECDC 20.20 – Home Occupation permit, possible conditional use permit. Edmonds City Code 3.20.030 – Business License required. Please contact the City of Edmonds Business License Dept. 425-771-2525 by November 27, 2019. If you intend to run a business at this address the following corrective actions are necessary: Make a complete application for a home occupation permit by December 2, 2019.
