went a head and wrote up the thing I talked to you about earlier but after reading the letter provided from Dennis Bruce
the temporary shoring walls he talked about will also require calculations and plans. See my attached correction. Hopefully
who ever you have working on the retaining walls can also provide the information on the temporary shoring.

• Structural Consultants Item #E What is the connection required for beam marked D to
the triple rafter? Nothing is specified at this time. Please add this information to the
drawings. Specify which THG hangeryouintend to use. There are several different
ones in the Simpson catalog. T
6) Still need no response -given. It is my understanding that you are working on this
item. Rockeries and retaining walls located in a critical area, regardless ofheight,_reguire a
separate permit. See enclosed handout for submittal requirements. Details and Engineered
.stamped calculations are required for review and it is possible that peer review will be
required.
7) Letter_ from Dennis Bruce, PE dated April 6, 2006 received April 13, 2006 says
that temporary shoring will be required. A temporary shorin_g plan and details
with Engineered stamped calculations are required (same as rockeries and
retaining walls).
Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets_only_) with
a written response to each of the above items to a Permit Coordinator.
