A 1/4 inch, pex pipe is more than big enough for the branch serving one hose bibb. The only
question might be whether his existing service line can handle the extra fixture unit dernand. I
probably would not get overly concerned about that though. I take it you will inspect the piping
ouitside of the structures and we Would look at things inside?

I am attaching a waiver request for a contractor/homeowner that would like to deviate from our
standards. He is installing a water line from the, house to his garage (hose spicket) and would like
to use a 3/4" line instead of the required 1" line. He does have an existing water service line from
the house to the meter that he is not changing, but I'm not sure if that meets standards since I
assume the WL was installed when the house was built in 1954.
Please let me know what you would like him to do and I'll let the contractor/homeowner know.
