HISTORIC REGISTRATION
WHEREAS, the undersigned property owner owns a building which has applied
for and been approved for placement on the historic register;
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds, through its Historic Preservation Commission
wishes to recognize that status while it applies to the property;
WHEREAS, the undersigned property owner wishes to approve a license for the
display of such a plaque; NOW, THEREFORE,
In consideration of the mutual benefits to be derived, the owner of the herein
described tract does hereby grant to the City of Edmonds a license to display a plaque
shown on the attached Exhibit A at the subject site.
1. SA c� t S ite. The subject site is located at 2- f tro -'+K( �t'U� ►�
Edmonds, Washington and is legally described on the attached Exhibit B.
2. Display. The plaque shall be displayed at a location shown on the
attached Exhibit C. The plaque shall be, and is in the ownership of the City of Edmonds,
and is lent for display for, but only for, such time as the building on the subject site
remains on the Historic Register. In the event that the historic registration lapses or this
license is terminated, the owner of the subject site shall promptly return the plaque to the
City.
3. Risk of Loss. The owner of the subject site shall ensure that the plaque is
attached in a prominent location in a way which affixes it securely either to the building
or to a structure on the property which is permanently attached to the ground. In the
event of loss, any insurance payment attributable to the loss of the plaque shall be paid
over to the City. Failure to return the plaque to the City upon removal of the structure
froln the Historic Register to termination of this license shall obligate the undersigned
property owner(s), their successors, heirs and assigns to replace the plaque by paying to
the City the full replacement cost within thirty (30) days of the date of destruction or loss.
4. Termination. This license may be terminated by the property owners(s) by
return of the plaque to the City in its original condition, less normal wear and tear. The
provisions of paragraph 3 shall survive termination and are terminated only when the
plaque, in the condition referenced above, is returned to the City.

5. Runs With the Land. This license and the promises contained herein,
touch and concern the site and shall run with the land. The cost of recording of this
license shall be borne by the City of Edmonds.
