I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can sign off on
it I need the following:

1.Screening: As I mentioned in my telephone message to you on October 9, with any new equipment
installed or with a change to the existing equipment, we require mechanical equipment to be screened.
The front elevation shows a parapet wall partially screening the proposed mechanical equipment.
Please address the following:
a.Because of the description of the existing and proposed equipment I am assuming that the
proposed equipment is different in appearance from the equipment that is currently on the
building. Is that correct?
b.Is the mechanical equipment roughly twice as high as the parapet wall?
c.Please show how the heat pump and ducting will be screened. Note that the proposed screening
must be coordinated with the building in color and style.

Please make all submittals to the Development Services Permit Coordinator, and provide two copies of
any revised plans or elevations and three copies of any site plans. Your existing plans and elevations may
also be red-lined.
