Sht A0.0 APPLICABLE CODES: a. EDMONDS MUNICIPAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE, TITLES 16 AND 17 … b. 2003 WASHINGTON STATE BUILDING CODE (CHAPTER 51-50 WAC) c. 2005 KING COUNTY RULES AND REGULATIONS, 05-06 (FOOD CODE) OK 2. Sht A0.0 GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK - BUILDING WORK – 14 Modifications such as sprinklering unprotected areas of building (Sht A1.3) or altering sprinkler locations and sprinkler piping will require separate sprinkler permit. Call out on cover sheet. 3. Provide current service reports for existing 1) automatic fire sprinkler (NFPA 25) and 2) fire alarm systems (NFPA 72) and 3) backflow assembly test report. Sprinkler system requires fire alarm system for remote monitoring purposes IFC 903.4. Provide occupant notification via Fire alarm system IFC 907.2.7. Add note Sht A0.0 FIRE ALARM PERMIT is required. OK 4. Sht A0.0 Commercial cooking systems creating grease-laden vapors will require separate Type I hood mechanical permit and hood suppression system permit. Call out on cover sheet as applicable. 5. OK-provide with TI plans. Provide shelves & furnishings plan- OK 6. Sheet A0.0 Callout required permits/submittals include: a. Fire Sprinkler System Permit See #2 b. Fire Safety & Evacuation Plan Callout Fire Safety & Evacuation Plan. Provide an egress plan showing primary and secondary exits and which show all locations, describes all functions and use of fire protection equipment and safety appliances accessible to tenant, including fire sprinkler City of Edmonds Office of Fire Marshal   system, fire alarm system, and portable fire extinguishers. Shts A1.0 & A0.3 Show interior sprinkler riser area-existing location is at NW corner of building. Maintain area ambient temperature greater than 40 degrees F. . 8. Sht A1.0 Callout exit signs and emergency illumination A0.3 Exit signs are required within every 100’ along exit path including exit corridor. 9. NEW EXIT CORRIDOR shall remain clear for egress. Propose signage or other design insurance. OK-evaluate signage & illumination upon acceptance. OK 10. Sheet A2.0 SOUTH ELEVATION Address numbers should be “9803”. Post building address on west elevation in a position plainly legible and visible at frontage on Edmonds Way. 6” height (as shown) are too small and require greater elevation. 11. Paint striping for fire apparatus access (FIRE LANE) from West driveway entry turning south following (and incorporating) wheelchair path. Fire lane shall be striped with 4” yellow perimeter striping and identified with words “FIRE LANE – NO PARKING”. Letters shall be 12” high with 2” stroke spaced 50 lineal feet on alternating insides of lane.
