Our handouts can be found online at the City of Edmonds web site www.ci.edmonds.wa.us under City Government/Development Services/Engineering Division. Hot Tub Comments: 1. It is prohibited to drain chlorinated water into the storm system. Hot tub water must be drained into your side sewer line. A sanitary tee (outside clean out installed on the side sewer line) shall be provided for draining of the hot tub water. Sanitary tee must be within easy reach of the hot tub drain with a hose. A separate side sewer permit is required to install the tee. Please add to your site plan. 2. Hose Bibbs/Vaccuum Breakers are required to be placed on garden hoses when used to fill any hot tub. Contact the Water Department, 771-0235, for a list of the approved bibs. The initial installation inspection is conducted by the City Cross Connection Control Specialist, 425-771-0235 x1644. Please note on your site plan. Gate Comments: 1. Your site plan shows 20ft from I believe the edge of road to gate and then shows another 25ft from the gate to the setback. Where exactly is the property line? Please label on plan. 2. If indeed your property line is at the gate then you may want to consider moving the planned plantings out of the right of way. The City does not prohibit planting in the right of way however, if for any reason the City needed to use that right of way, your plantings would be removed. Also if you plan to put flag stone and steps in the right of way you will need to get an encroachment permit. See above to find handout online for encroachment permits.
