During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing the Government tab and
Public Works| Engineering under Departments:
Please Note: Building Handouts do not include updated Engineering Division Requirements. Refer to
Engineering Handouts for all Engineering Requirements.
1. Under Impervious Surface Coverage please separate between existing and proposed.
2. Please correct the Impervious Calculation box on the reduced size copies and remove
post development from title.
3. If there is a storm system already installed with existing home, please show on plans and
call out date installed.
4. The routing sheet mentions a rain garden but no reference on plans. Please show the
location of the proposed rain garden on the plans.
5. Add note stating the rain garden will be designed according to the Rain Garden Handbook
for Western Washington Homeowners.
6. Show connection of downspouts to rain garden.
7. Rain garden can not be located in the sewer easement.
8. Please include details of proposed erosion control measure(s) to be installed consistent
with City of Edmonds standard details. (Adding C of E details directly to the plan set is
fine).
9. Show location and extent of each erosion sediment control measure to be installed on the
site plan.
10. Show location of utilities (water, gas) from house to property line.
