During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit three (3) sets of revised
plans/documents with a written response to each of the items below toLinda Thornquist.

website.

June 15, 2012 –Plans have been revised to include the following note: “Pedestrian

protection (actually it says project) to be provided per IBC 3306 for all work performed
adjacent to pedestrian walkways. Use of theCity right-of-way will require a separate
right-of-way construction permit. Depending on how the work will be performed, full
sidewalk closure may be required. Please confirm how the windows will be installed and
whether closure of thesidewalk will be required to perform this work.
May 9, 2012 comment -Plans indicate replacement of several windows along the Dayton Street
side of the building. Please confirm how these windows will be installed and whether closure of
the sidewalk will be required to perform this work. If sidewalk closure is necessary then a
separate right-of-way construction permit with traffic control plan for closure will be required.
June 15, 2012 –No response received.

May 9, 2012 comment -The dumpster /staging area is shown within the parking lot on private
property on the west side of the alley. Will debris be brought from the building to the dumpster
by hand and therefore eliminating potential disruption to the alley/access?
